Before arriving in Redding, owner Gabe Phillips worked in construction for 20+ years as a sub-contractor in Washington State. Learning the trades and carrying on a legacy in lumber and construction started by his grandfather.


Starting a new business in Redding about a week before the devastating Carr fire in 2018 was challenging, but Gabe was determined to meet the community's needs. His values of trust, integrity, and superior craftsmanship helped establish Chinook as a trusted name in Redding and Shasta County.
